What your Shopping Trolleys says about You

Trolley habits tell you everything…

To return or not to return.

Carpark screams.

Kill me now…

Can you relate?

A busy Saturday morning, a quick run to pick up some groceries.

Cars everywhere.

You spy an empty spot and think, “Jackpot!” but…

As you go to pull in you see that some jackass has left their trolley at the back of the space.

GRRR cue mild frustration-based melt-down.

It happens everywhere, in every country, and psychologists posit that the way you handle shopping trolleys says a lot about who you are as a person.

The balance of self-interest against the invisible comfort of strangers.

Why do some people return it? Because, socially speaking, it is the right thing to do.

Is there a sticker or reward? No.

It’s just right.

When we work restoratively, this is the muscle we build. The skill we practice.

Working with young people to solve conflict and do the right thing when no one is watching.

This is integrity.
